-Invites experts from both inside and outside academic circles to international conferences and develop the subject of research.
 

[The SIJC Seminar]

1. Purpose
  
-Investigates the current situation of Japanese studies in terms of politics, political       economy and society & culture.
   -Compare Korea
s research on Japan with recent research done in Japan,       Europe and America with further expectation of its possible direction 
   
-Academic interchange among members in the Sejong Institute Japan Center

2. Process
   
-Report and discuss the recent situation in Japan once every two months
   -Time: 10 a.m. on third Saturday of each month
   -Place: The Round-Table Seminar Room at the Sejong Institute

[Situation and prospect]
   - HakJin research team for Japanese regionalism: M.A. & Ph.D. seminar

1. Purpose
  -Investigates the current situation of Japanese studies in terms of politics, political      economy and society & culture and further prospects its direction in the future.
  -Help develop research capabilities of graduate students and make academic      network
  -Data-base of research on the present situation in Japan

2. Process
  -Report and discussion every other month (the starting date: 2002. Sept.28)
  -Time: Seminar was held on the fourth Saturday in Sept., Nov., Jan., Mar., May.      and July.
  -Place: Seminar room of Japan Center, 3
rd floor of Sejong Institute
  -After Seminar: Contents to be reported and discussed during the seminar and      data made by research is uploaded on the homepage of the East-Asia Research      Team
  -Presenter should prepare research data and handouts for presentation
